As an engineer and a management consultant, we are wired to design, plan, problem solve, and seek continuous improvement. We do not leave things to chance if we can help it. That is the idea behind "Life by Design", at least for us. This does not mean we don't know how to have fun and how to let loose or take it easy. This also does not mean we don't make mistakes and at times live through chaos and turmoil, but it means we take control of many aspects of our lives that help us get the most out of life and living.

 

The result of this approach to living to this day has brought us to the beautiful Hawaiian island of Oahu, where Andy surfs when the surf is pumping, where we both work independently, from home, managing our own schedules, actively managing our physical and mental health, and choosing how we want to spend the precious time we have in this life experience.

What we want to share with you is how to get the mindset needed to have the courage to challenge the status quo, and to take control of your life to shape it to what is best for you. We also want to share resources, knowledge, tools and hacks that we find make it easier and all the more wonderful.
